What are the easiest recipes to cook for university life?
Q. im not much of a good cook but i want to know what food is easy to cook for uni:like mac and cheese, noodles and so on. i would really appreciate it if you could give me some tips and recipes.. thank you!

A. You want something fast, easy, not too many calories, and really good.
Does it get cold where you are going?
Casseroles make good eating, most make four meals, and most are easy.
Hearty soups work too,
And these are both good on really cold days when you have to walk a long ways across campus.

Tuna and noodle casserole with crushed potato chips put on top before serving.
Chili can be eaten as soup, or poured over hot dogs or hamburgers. Have some cole slaw from the deli.
Vegetable beef soup with a beef sandwich
Meatloaf. I make the Lipton onion soup one, found on their website. It tastes like a loaded hamburger. dd cheese for a cheeseburger taste.Boil some potatoes, and open a can of veggies.
Rivers layers hamburger cooked with a package of Mexican seasoning, adds 1/2 can of re-fried beans and stirs it in. And layers that with some lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, green onions, black olives and salsa and serves it with Doritos. Yum. Taco on a plate with out the taco shells, and the Doritos mimic what Taco Bell is doing. I did it first! And I use the store brand Doritos.

I make a casserole, and my friend makes a similar one. Boil some mixed vegetables and drain. Brown and drain some hamburger and a quarter of an onion. Combine. Add one can of cream of tomato soup and several tablespoons of ketchup. Serve with potatoes, biscuits, or this would make a nice Shepard's pie with pie crust or mashed potatoes on top.

Swiss steak is fun and easy.

Rivers buys a rotisserie chicken from the grocery now and again. I fix some potatoes and a veggie for it, but I get tired of it. So I cut up the chicken and put some BBQ sauce on it, and serve it on a bun. Instant BBQ chicken.
Put some leftover chicken in some gravy, and fix some potatoes or rice.

Since mornings might be cramped time wise for a uni student, make some breakfast in advance, so all you have to do is heat something up and eat. Buy some wraps/tortillas at the grocery. Scramble some eggs, and put whatever you want in them : ham, cheese, onions, mexican flavors, sausage, bacon. Make enough for at least a couple wraps. In the morning, toss the eggs in the 'wave, and toss the wrap on a hot skillet.
Also imitate McDonald's's. You could make and freeze individual patties of sausage, just put them in the refrig the night before to unthaw, and 'wave them. Add a pre-made biscuit[also out of the freezer] that you made in advance and some pre-done eggs, and you have a breakfast sandwich.

rivers buys some round steak, about 1 1/2 to 2 pounds, cuts it up into big pieces like for 3 bites, and rolls them in flour and browns them. She mixes a can of cream of mushroom soup with 1/2 cup of water, and an envelope of Lipton's onion soup mix. Stir, pour over meat and stir. Turn down the heat, and simmer an hour, stir, simmer another hour, and see if it is tender. If not, do some more simmering. If you like onions, this is great, and lasts several meals. Some potatoes and a veggie and you have a meal. I served this to my Aunt the cook, and she thought I had slaved all day over the stove to make it. All you need is a good skillet with a lid, or a dutch oven. For company, put in some mushrooms or a few drops of red wine for fancy. If you love gravy, put in more mushroom soup.

Canned fruit is so versitile, stir it into your yogurt in the morning, serve it with cottage cheese in the after noon, put it on your plate for supper. Peaches and pears work great for this, so does pineapple.

alrecipes.com has some quick and easy recipes, so does Kraft. I subscribe to both for ideas. Both are free.
And check out name brand websites. Rivers found the Oreo website, ice cream pies are fairly easy.
